Resilient, Efficient Buildings Tour for Legislators (Oregon)

In Oregon, homes & buildings are our second leading cause of climate pollution and our first line of defense against climate harms, like extreme heat and wildfire smoke. Over two days and four locations, Oregon legislators and community leaders visited examples of homes & buildings constructed to a higher standard to perform better using less energy and more resilient to climate harms. All-electric heating and cooling, hot water, and cooking plus solar power, and other features make these buildings healthier and less costly, and proves we can build to this standard with today's technologies and techniques. Now it's up to our elected leaders to pass new policies, incentives, and codes to bring our homes & buildings up to these higher standards, as our neighboring states like Washington and California have already done.
