Video of the road to the Abergwesyn Pass and then parts of the Abergwesyn Pass itself including the Devil's staircase, in Wales. The road goes from Abergwesyn to Tregaron and is quite steep/pulse rasing on some parts. Because the camera was mounted on the windscreen of the car and it moves with the car in the video it seems less steep/scary than it actually is on some parts. Filmed with a Yi 4K action cam. Settings: filmed in 2K downsampled to 1080p No color correction. Stabilizer on. Have to say I was very disappointed with the Yi 4K action camera. After reading lots of positive reviews about it I decided to try it. The image quality was mediocre at best, even in 2K like this video. The issue seems to be that the lens is set to be in focus at close focusing distances which means that subjects further away are slightly out of focus. You can clearly see that in this video. Everything is a bit soft. Within one month of dashcam style use the touchscreen stopped working so the camera couldn't be operated anymore. Since it is an action cam it is supposed to be able to withstand some heavy usage. I sent the camera back to Amazon and they refunded the money within a few days. Great service.
