Having lost faith in the village that he and Hashirama had built together, Madara left it and returned years later to destroy it. He brought with him the Nine-Tails to show he meant business, and in the end, Hashirama was forced to pseudo-kill Madara (I say pseudo because Izanagi is a thing Madara can do). This brought about a time of peace that didn’t last very long, as the First Shinobi World War broke out not too long afterward. It further planet the seeds that would eventually lead up to the Fourth Shinobi World War as well as the revival of the Ten-Tails. And this all occurred because a tiny line of events cascaded into a rift that separated two of the most powerful leaders in the world. But I can’t help but wonder this… what would have happened if that rift never formed?
