These people market themselves as experts in a specific field, they draw you in with pictures of their nice cars, fancy watches, big houses and stacks of cash. But, the real question is, are these “experts” legit? In my opinion, I believe that you should proceed cautiously when pursuing any sort of online course or online business coach - the reason is that anyone can market themselves as an “expert”, but not everyone can actually be an expert. With social media and the ability to create professional websites very quickly and easily, it is very easy for unqualified people to market themselves as experts. These people create courses, get students to buy their packages, and they make money off of people who simply don’t know any better. In the online coaching and course world, there are far too many scammers. But, that doesn’t mean that all courses and coaches are bad. There are great coaches and courses out there - but, it is important to find them. make sure when searching for a couch to research the person thoroughly - do your research to ensure this is a worthwhile investment. If the coach or course turns out to be legit, then go for it! But, if there are any red flags that arise then you should avoid them like the plague. Business coaches and courses are not the only way to learn a new skill, business or industry! In this video, I will also discuss alternatives to coaches and courses, like signing up for services like Upwork or Fiverr. Becoming a freelancer is a great way to learn new skills and perfect your craft, and the best part is you can get paid while doing it!
