I have a 2008 VW Caddy Life that came with a 1.9 TDi BLS PD105 engine. This engine is known for catastrophic connecting rod failures. Upon learning this info I sought out alternatives. The 1.9 engine is a very popular engine with many variations. The PD130 engine is a proven long lasting and strong engine. Unfortunately it isn't just a bolt in replacement. So in this video I show the modifications that were needed to switch from the weak and failure prone BLS PD105 motor to the much stronger PD130 ASZ motorcode.
