This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2024 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX hybrid pickup truck. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX is designed, engineered and assembled in North America. The i-Force Max Hybrid powertrain is a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder, 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. This nearly doubles the torque of the outgoing V6 model. It has a 48-horsepower electric motor integrated into the 8-speed transmission with a 1.87 kWh battery pack. In Canada, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX powertrain is standard on Limited, Trailhunter and TRD Pro models, it’s optional on TRD Off-road Premium. In the US, the hybrid powertrain is standard on Trailhunter and TRD Pro, optional on TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road and Limited models. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX interior gets significant upgrades compared to the previous model. Larger screens, better technology, the comfort level has improved drastically, and it has more features. TRD Pro models have isodynamic performance front seats to help reduce body movement, the are available in black or red. Push button start is standard on all grades and USB-C charging ports are standard in the front row, available in the rear. There’s a parcel shelf for passengers to put their phone or other small items, Toyota says, the primary goal for the all-new 2024 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX was to be authentic to the way their customers use their trucks for rugged outdoor fun. It has a high lift, slim body and an athletic stance. Toyota wants all their trucks to have a family resemblance yet be unique in their own way.
