Asmr Ancient Greek Lyre Practise

Many of you said you enjoyed the soothing sound of the Ancient Greek lyre. Let me tell you of how I came upon this instrument I thought I wanted to play the harp, so I bought a 22 string lap harp. It would take me soo long to tune it that I would never get time to play, so I sold it. Then I had a series of re-occurring dreams where I would either be on a Greek sailing vessel or I would be swimming around a rocky uninhabited island. (I just knew this was Greece as I have spent many summers living on the islands.) On this island was nothing except a golden lyre and it would be playing beautiful music and vibrating. I was mesmerised and after the 3rd such dream I realised the gods were nudging me to play one so I started to look. I found a company called Luthieros who are in Northern Greece who make ancient instruments the old way but also with new tech. They had all sorts of Mediterranean, and near as well as middle eastern lyres, kitheras and Sufi drums of which I also own. This lyre arrived but it was soo beautiful a d I was soo rubbish that I didn’t really play it. For about 3 years I just looked at it. 2020 and lockdown arrives. A different series of dreams arrive in my head of various Greek gods and goddesses playing my lyre and me sitting at their feet watching and learning. So I picked it up again and looked and I noticed the makers - Lutherios were offering on line learning courses so I enrolled and it has been my saviour. I have re-kindled my love of Greek literature which I studied when I lived there and eventually I aim to bring these poems and stories as marinations out for tour enjoyment and healing.
