Horse Shoe Curve Pa, Trains Going Over The Big Hill! Happy Amish Women & Manned Helper Locomotives!

Horseshoe Curve, Pennsylvania Trains Climbing The Hill & Working Hard! Mountain Trains On The Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line. BIG Coal Train Going Up The Grade With 2 Locomotives Mid Train! Amish Women Love Trains Too! Listen To The 3 Locomotives Working Hard On A Giant Auto Racks Train! These trains are in Pennsylvania near Altoona on the old Conrail main line. 5 Trains are in this video and almost all of them have helpers with some of the helpers being manned. The first train is a Norfolk Southern manifest, mixed freight, that is eastbound dropping down the hill into Altoona. This train has a couple of NS locomotives and a CSX locomotive. It is rare to see a CSX locomotive on this line. The locomotive on the rear is manned, I believe. The second train is a westbound intermodal train going up the hill. This is the only train in this video without help. The third train is a westbound train going up the hill toward Pittsburgh. Check out the Amish women standing on the picnic tables to get a better view starting just before 11:30 in the video! Awesome and not only that but I found out that a few of them watch my videos. My Ohio farm is in an Amish area and I see them go by my house. They have been on my farm to look at my barn but that is another story. This train is a huge auto racks train with an NS locomotive and a leaser locomotive on the front with a Union Pacific DPU locomotive in the middle. This was a good one! The fourth train is a westbound coal train. This is a long one and has a couple of DPU locomotives in the middle working hard. Listen to the locomotives as they take the train over the hill. The coal train was booking along pretty good. Once again, I saw a snake and nearly stepped on it. The third time this year. The fifth train is an eastbound tanker train dropping down into Altoona with 4 locomotives. The two locomotives on the rear were manned helper units. They will cut off in Altoona and run back to get another train. Next we see the motel room where I stayed in Altoona. This is Comfort Suites and the rooms were very nice with high ceilings. It cost about $200 a night. Don't miss the pets at the end and also the slide show that comes from the video. After I left Altoona I went to Cassandra, Pa and stayed the night there at the Cassandra Overlook Inn for $75 a night cash. See my videos from Cassandra!
