Today we're going to be taking a look at part number C40007. This is the Curt Chrome Hitch Ball with 2 5/16ths inch diameter, steel construction with a chrome finish, so it's going to offer protection from rust and corrosion. It's also going to feature the wrench flats here on the side of the platform. It's going to allow you to easily get your wrench on there and tighten to the mount and you can easily get it torqued to specifications listed by the manufacturer. The torque rating for this particular mount is indicated in the instructional tag here on the backside. It says that it needs to be tightened to 250 foot pounds of torque. The capacity on the ball is going to be 10,000 pounds. The shank diameter, this portion here, is going to measure 1 inch. The shank length, measuring from the bottom of that platform to the end of the threaded portion, that's going to give us a measurement of 2 1/4 of an inch. It does include the lock washer, as well as the nut. That's going to do it for today's review of part number C40007. This is the Curt 2 5/16th inch Chrome Hitch Ball, rated at 10,000 pounds. .
