customer came in with a slight rumble from the front of the car. quickly diagnosed it to be the nearside front wheel bearing. and this vehicle is fitted with what you call a gen 4 bearing which means it bolts on and off in theory making the job a little bit easier. however with the components that are two dissimilar metals are mounted to each other they can seize and almost makes it impossible to remove one from the other. as you can see the method I used was simple and very effective ove the years of being in the motor trade you sometimes have to think out of the box. so what I did was take 2 wheel studs out which meant I could use two long bolts and two nuts that pushed on the steering knuckle and then pulled the bearing out with ease its not always this easy to do this method and components on vehicles can differ.... anyway the car is now driving like a jaguar should be nice and quiet. #mechanic #tipsandtricks #automotive #jaguar #cars #carrepair #sendit
