Electric vibes of Manali's Hadimba Temple

On the 9th day of our trip to Leh-Ladakh and Manali, we started from Jispa towards Manali at around 9 am. Hadimba Cottages, Manali: We booked our accommodation in old Manali at Hadimba Cottages. Hadimba Cottages in Manali is a delightful retreat nestled amidst the scenic beauty of Himachal Pradesh. These cosy cottages are named after Manali’s famous Hadimba Temple and are surrounded by enchanting deodar wood. If you seek privacy and a touch of solitude, Hadimba Cottages are an ideal choice. Each cottage is well-equipped with a kitchenette, fridge, heater, and TV. Some cottages offer a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. There’s a small room or antechamber where you can sit and gaze out, followed by a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The front porch provides a perfect spot for enjoying the views or being surrounded by flowers. The sheer variety of colours of Rose flowers—crimson, blush pink, sunny yellow—paints a vibrant canvas. But the size of those flowers really left in awe. The day was lazy as it rained and we preferred to spend indoors taking a nap and enjoying the rain through the window, the rain danced—a liquid ballet, each drop curling on flowers and tapping on glass. As the evening skies cleared, the rain’s gentle patter ceased, and we embarked on a leisurely stroll toward the Hadimba Temple, just a mere 400 meters from our cosy Hadimba Cottage. for booking visit: https://hptdc.in/index.php/hadimba-co... Hadimba Devi Temple: Hadimba Devi Temple is an ancient cave Temple built around a massive rock jutting out of the ground—an image worshipped as Hadimba Devi, the deity herself. Hadimba Devi is the wife of Bheema. The temple is embraced by the serene Deodar forest of Dhungiri Van Vihar at the foot of the Himalayas. The temple’s intricately carved wooden doors lead to a 24-meter-tall wooden “Shikhar” (the tower) above the sanctuary. The tower comprises three square roofs covered with timber tiles, crowned by a brass cone-shaped roof at the top. Carvings on the main door depict the earth goddess Durga, along with animals, dancers, scenes from Lord Krishna’s life, and the Navagrahas. Since Hadimba hailed from Rakshasa lineage, the gateway of the temple bore wooden carvings of skulls, skeletons and other eerie motifs. Inside, an enormous rock houses a tiny 7.5 cm (3 inch) tall brass image representing Goddess Hidimba Devi. Ghatochkach Tree Temple: After walking around 200 meters from Hadimba Temple, we came to Gatochkach Shrine. Ghatotkacha is a mythical warrior born from the union of Pandava Bhima and Hadimba Devi. This ancient temple reveres Ghatotkacha by representing him as a tree—a living embodiment of devotion and eco-spirituality. Worshipping here feels like touching ancient roots and timeless stories. #history of hadimba temple manali, #how to reach Hadimba Temple Manali, #best hotel near hadimba temple manali, #hadimba temple Manali movie shooting, #hadimba temple Manali snowfall, #hadimba temple manali yeh jawaani hai deewani, #hadimba temple manali telugu, #hadimba temple manali story in telugu, #hadimba temple manali inside, #hadimba temple manali vlog, #hadimba temple manali road, #hadimba temple manali Malayalam, #hadimba temple manali rabbit, #hadimba temple manali today #manalitouristplaces
