For the 80th Anniversary of D-Day I thought I'd explore the life of Theodore Roosevelt Jr. He was the oldest son of President Theodore Roosevelt & led the assault on Utah Beach during D-Day. In February 1944, Roosevelt was assigned to England to help lead the Normandy invasion and appointed Deputy Division Commander of the 4th Infantry Division. He died a month after the invasion and was posthumously awarded the medal of honour. Credits to the image owners featured.
