By capitalising on the inherent charm of its bare shell structure, the design fosters unfiltered, elemental spaces with a minimalist approach. The residence, designed for multi-generational living, balances daily functionality with spaces that promote interaction and cultivate good habits. A monochromatic palette of greys and blacks seamlessly connects the interior with the surrounding hillside, reflects the resident’s principles and provides a bucolic retreat within the urban landscape. Subtle nods to classical architecture are incorporated through decorative niches, furniture details and visible columns, blending traditional and modern elements. An open, barrier-free layout enhances fluid movement and conversation, while local basalt and marble is used in varied details to reinforce context.
