Hi everyone … Before Covid pandemic started I booked and paid a trip to French Polynesia to witness an amazing phenomenon, the marble grouper spawning. Then covid showed up and screwed my plans … Airlines in this covid times don´t refund their customers but offer vouchers to use those tickets in another moment (so nice of them ☹) So I ended up with lots of vouchers that I didn’t know if I would be able to use. Luckily by the end of August I got invited by some friends and I manage to enjoy a two month trip in the middle of the pandemic ( how lucky I was!!)… French Polynesia is a divers dream destination. It is a huge territory like the size of Europe. There are 5 archipelagos ( Society Islands, Marquesas Islands, Tuamotu Archipelago, Gambier Islands and Austral Islands) with a total of 118 islands and atolls. The highlight for me is the amount of sharks and pelagic species you can encounter. Each spot has their special stuff … Rangiroa with Bottlenose Dolphins that visit divers , Fakarava with big schools of sharks, Moorea with Humpback Whales, etc This is my 1st video for the trip and It includes my dives in the Tuamotu Archipelago … places like Rangiroa, Fakarava, Toau, Apataki, Raroia, Ahe, Takaroa, Kauei, Faaite, Raraka and Tahanea.
