DC Comics has a plethora of female superheroes at its disposal that the general audience isn't familiar with or only has a very basic, surface-level understanding of. Harley Quinn seems to be one of the few characters DC/WB is consistently pushing into the public eye, whether through Suicide Squad in the DCEU, Birds of Prey, or the Kill the Justice League video game, which is supposedly set in the Batman Arkham universe. Wonder Woman is recognized as the most iconic female superhero and one-third of DC's Trinity, alongside Batman and Superman, as well as being a founding member of the Justice League with The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter. However, characters like Supergirl, Batgirl, and even Batwoman have gotten the short end of the stick, with the CW Arrowverse doing them a major disservice. DC has many other notable heroines, such as Black Canary, Zatanna, and even Starfire and Raven from the Teen Titans. There are only a handful of adaptations, such as Young Justice or Justice League Unlimited, that actually explore these characters.
