Betty Ford is one of my SHEroes for many, many reasons - not the least of which she had a mastectomy and asked to have her photo taken with her husband sitting next to her hospital bed holding her hand. When some of her girlfriends saw her with the President they shamed her and informed her she "should not have done that." Supposedly it was a topic never published nor to be discussed. And taking the photo like that with her hubby? That "emasculated him?" Are you out of your damned mind folks? People often ask me what we have to learn from women in the world and what we have to learn from history - or, "why/how does history help shape today?" When the truth comes out - we find out.
