Rash means a red lesion. It could be a small red papule or macule. There are so many causes for it. First and foremost the basic one is fever. There are so many causes for it. This fever could be due to infection. Either a bacterial infection causing fever or a viral infection. So fever followed by rash or rash followed by fever. Second thing is contact dermatitis. It could be allergic contact dermatitis due to any of the chemicals or pollutants or irritant contact dermatitis causing rash. On the face it could be sunlight induced rash or rosacea. It could be manifestation of systemic disease like systemic lupus erythematosus or any other connective tissue disorder. There are so many causes causing or triggering rash. So based on the etiology we should treat it accordingly.
