Let's get real- being a woman over 60 and living alone. I shared my talk with a young woman who's grandmother just died and she cried and asked me the questions she never got to ask her grandmother. I take you through my week, finding a great garage sale and making a baseball friend!...desi's birthday is next month and he will be 12...he is looking much older now and I felt so whistful about that this week. I hug him tighter now. I talk a lot about living on our own...and there are so many things nobody ever tells us. Are we afraid? Are we bored? What do we care about? We are connected...we live in the "now"...and we are, free. We help each other here every day. I hope this video helps those of you who are going through a new living arrangement. Divorce or losing a spouse or partner is a great sorrow...it takes time, but we survive and we can thrive...but happiness is never free is it.
