I am fully vaccinated and I followed all mask protocols while there and during travel. I'm still getting used to traveling alone and especially filming myself alone in public, but New York was a great place to practice. Overall, I'd give New York a 9.5/10 for a solo travel destination. There seems to be a lot of people doing things alone in new york, so I never felt weird. Also, CityMapper was my best friend for navigation. Also, here's the link to a video that shows you how to use public transportation to get from LaGuardia to Manhattan. I'd highly recommend it over a car service because it's only $2.75. BUT, if you have a lot of luggage, be aware that you'll need to walk down 3 flights to the subway and then up 3 flights to get out.
