Market Adventures: Exploring Bukit Timah Market (the old one that's sadly gone now!)

Welcome to MARKET ADVENTURES, my new series where I explore wet markets and get inspired to cook from what I find there – ideally eating lots of good food along the way! Last weekend, the wet market and hawker centre I grew up with – Bukit Timah Hawker Centre – closed for good, because it's being rebuilt over the next two years. Before that happened, I wanted to visit and truly experience what it had to offer. I ended up having such a great time, eating amazing dishes that reminded me of my family, and cooking something that featured all the wonderful produce I picked up. A personal note: This is my first youtube video in a very, very long time and I think being away from this platform for so long made starting again seem really scary and overwhelming. I've put it off for ages, because the stuff I'm making now doesn't look as professional or beautiful as my old content that I had help filming, as I'm just not used to working on my own here. But I'm going to go ahead and post anyway, because I really love being here and sharing with you.
