Stillmore, GA is a town where you blink and could very well miss it. Way out in the middle of nowhere, its home to 435 people (less than half of what it used to be in 1920). The poverty is a real problem here, affecting about 1 in 3 people. Jobs are hard to come by, amenities are about non existent, on the upside rent is cheap and real estate is lower priced than most in the country. Going down just about any street you will see abandoned homes, automobiles, and commercial buildings. With the loss of crops, burning sawmills, and railroad workers leaving to find better opportunities, Stillmore has yet to recover from it over 100 years later. Can it be revitalized?
