If you don't put some thought into it and plan out the best possible tile layout for your tile installation, be it a wall floor or whatever the tile surface may be, you could end up with tile slivers or undesirable cuts. Never start in a corner and just start tiling, always take measurements, and dry lay some tile to use as a reference when planning your layout. In this video I try to explain how i planned the layout of this large shower area to avoid small sliver cuts in the corner and where the tile ends at the edge of the shower. I also explain How I figured out what the tile cuts would be at the ceiling, floor knee wall and floating corner seat.
