Hal Honig, a resident of New York City, was active in the Sri Sathya Sai Organization from the 1980's onward, until his passing away at the age of 85. He made 24 trips to India to spend time with Sri Sathya Sai Baba, leading groups of people there. He was the president of Jack L. Honig Inc., a company that manufactured children's clothes. As a sevak, he made and distributed sandwiches to homeless on the streets of NYC. A PBS television documentary on hunger and homelessness in New York City praised Hal’s food service to the homeless, calling him “the sandwich man.” In this candid, humorous and insightful talk, he dives into the delightful details behind a drama that was produced by him and the Young Adults to be presented before Swami.
