Flooded Leighton Moss

So today I decided to head out to Leighton Moss, not my first choice but the weather and wind forced me to perhaps go to a reserve rather than going into the countryside also we have had a lot of rain recently which will have swelled the rivers and streams. On arriving at Leighton Moss it was clear from the outset that the rain had also affected the reserve with 90% of the paths being affected by flooding I'm in some places nearly a foot deep. However this did not stop me but it did reduce the number of people walking around the reserve, and only those that came prepared with welly boots managed to walk around the reserve comfortably. Today was classed as a success with plenty of wildlife to be seen despite the wind and rain, with otters feeding on fish and eels, to Jays in the field and Red Wings hiding in the trees, a fantastic day of wildlife photography here at Leighton Moss.
