Queensway Shopping Centre, Singapore's oldest mall, is known as the "Singapore Sports Mall" due to its abundance of sporting goods stores. The mall, built in 1976, features a unique octagon shape and was the first in Singapore to have public escalators. Despite a failed attempt at an en bloc sale in 2019, the mall continues to thrive with its mix of sporting goods, thrift stores, and family-owned businesses.
