“Coming up as an apprentice, your mechanic is the person you lean on every single day,” said Bobby Harper, an International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) elevator constructor mechanic who spoke with ElevatorInfo at an educational showcase in Austin, Texas, featuring the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP) [@NEIEPVideos]. Bobby is currently taking courses at the NEIEP classrooms of IUEC Local 133 in Austin. An employee of TK Elevator [@tkelevator2817] he works under the supervision of experienced mechanic Pat Coker. When we chatted with Bobby and Pat, they told us about how important the apprentice-mechanic partnership is for new employees coming into the trade. To be the best-trained workers in the conveyance industry, it’s vital that upcoming elevator technicians have the opportunity to apply the skills they are learning in the classroom to real-world scenarios. 🚨 Subscribe to our channel @ElevatorInfo Find out more at https://elevatorinfo.org/ Follow us on: Facebook: / elevatorinfo LinkedIn: / elevatorinfo #Elevators #ElevatorIndustry #ElevatorTechnician #Education #ElevatorSafety #ElevatorTraining #ElevatorApprenticeship #Benefits #Retirement #Austin #ElevatorInfo
