In this lesson I'm going to show you how to play "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes. The song consists of 3 simple parts. There's a 1-string guitar riff, a simple transition (using the incredibly simple but useful power chord) and the main riff that we all know and love :) --- If you're just getting started you might need some extra help. I have 2 resources for that: New to guitar and want to build a solid foundation? You'll want to check out the GoodGuitarist Beginner Guitar Course! More information here: https://goodguitarist.com/beginner-gu... And for help with lead guitar stuff like hammer-on's, slides and all that, you should check out my FREE LEAD GUITAR eBOOK - https://goodguitarist.com/learn-lead-... --- The lesson starts off with one of the simplest riffs on guitar... You could even use one finger! (although, I do have some recommended fingerings for you). So we learn to play the intro riff (which sounds like a bass, but is actually an electric guitar with an effect on it). We practice it a bit and then we move on and learn how to play a very simple power chord transition. I know that sounds complicated when I say it like that but it's literally the simplest shape ever and you just have to move it up the fretboard by 2 frets to play the entire section! Finally I show you how to take that first lick that we learned (one of the easiest ones on guitar) - we add the shape from the 2nd part we learned... and it turns it into one of the most iconic riffs of the 2000's. I hope you enjoy the lesson and I'll see you soon! -James --- http://goodguitarist.com/seven-nation... / goodguitarist / goodguitarist
