In three prior lectures of this series, we reviewed in detail how to acquire Spatiotemporal Image Correlation (STIC) volumes for the Fetal Intelligent Navigation Echocardiography (FINE) method. In this presentation (PART 1), we review the tool known as STICLoop™, which is used to determine if a STIC volume is appropriate before applying the FINE method. We also review when to discard STIC volumes, when they should not be obtained, and general instructions on how to use STICLoop™. FINE is a novel sonographic method to examine the fetal heart. This method automatically generates and displays nine standard fetal cardiac views simultaneously. It simplifies the fetal cardiac examination, shortens examination time, and reduces operator dependency. FINE has recently been shown to have high sensitivity (98%) and specificity (93%) for the detection of congenital heart disease. For more information on FINE, and to access our freely available scientific publications on the FINE method, please visit the Perinatology Research Branch of NICHD/NIH website at: https://mfmfellowship.org/research-di... #FetalIntelligentNavigationEchocardiography #fetalheart #fetalechocardiography #pregnancyultrasound #ultrasoundinpregnancy #fetalecho #fetalheartultrasound
