#gardenstatetortoise #tortoise #turtle Join us as we take a road trip to handle yet another rescue of animals. Turtles and tortoises live a very long time and it’s crucial to have a plan in place for yours because they can certainly outlive humans by a mile. An 80 year old tortoise and others were loved and cared for, spanning decades, but with the owner’s health deteriorating, they needed to be rescued from a potentially bad future. She did the right thing before it was too late for them and this is a wake up call to anyone working with such long lived vertebrates because sometimes things don’t work out. It’s the cold , hard truth and the animals need to have a future, somewhere. Want to support Garden State Tortoise?
