Unable to purchase F-86 Sabre from the USA, Australian government bought the best fighter Great Britain could offer. This airplane however would prove to be inferior to the fighter used by the communist side - MiG-15. Australian pilots struggled against Soviet pilots but occasionally achieved some success.
