I really struggled to figure out the controls for commanding my army in battle when I first picked up Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord for the Xbox Series X. Amazingly the game didn't bother to explain any of it and the answers weren't even easy to find searching online! The frustration of not being able to figure out how to properly utilize my troops actually caused me to shelf the game and I nearly gave up! But as a big Warband fan I knew it was too good to ignore so I eventually came back to it determined to figure it out. Now after spending quite some time trying things out in game and doing research, I decided to make this video as a guide for anyone else who finds themselves a little lost like I was. Here I extensively go over both pre-battle deployment and also how to issue all the various commands to your troops during a battle or siege. Once you get the hang of using these commands you will basically have all of the tools at your disposal that PC players do, minus playing with mods of course. Battles and sieges really have more depth to them and it kind of becomes a whole different game with the added layer of actually using your own strategies!
