1986 Linn/Naim system plays ELO 'Last Train to Midnight' [Linn LP12/Naim NAC 32.5/NAP 160/SBLs]

The NAC 32-5 was introduced in 1985 to replace the NAC 32. It remained Naim's top preamp until the NAC 72 arrived in 1989. I paid £300 for this unit complete with Class A service. The NAP 160 in new casework was introduced in 1980 to replace the original bolt down model as Naim's mid-range power amp above the entry-level NAP 110 and below the flagship NAP 250. Power output was rated at 50W per channel into 8 Ohms. I paid £450 for this unit but it needed a service straight away. The SBL was introduced in 1986 and was the first speaker Naim manufactured inhouse. The smaller IBL and larger DBL models would shortly follow. I bought this one-owner pair for £500. LP12 with Linn K9 body (also introduced in 1986) and modern VM95C stylus built by Colin at What You See and Hear. Valhalla serviced by Class A.
